🌸 A Flowery Iced Matcha at Stringria Bubble Tea

Today, I’m taking you on a little detour to the newly opened Gangnam Market on Chicago Ave near Milwaukee Ave. Some of you might remember it as the Urban Market, but it’s got a fresh new look and a bubble tea cafe inside that’s worth a visit.

The cafe in question is the Stringria Bubble Tea Cafe, and the drink on our tasting menu today is their Iced Matcha Latte. Now, if you’re a matcha purist, brace yourself for a surprise. This isn’t your typical matcha latte. It’s decent, but it’s got a twist that might not be everyone’s cup of tea.

The flavor of the matcha powder in this latte is not what you’d expect. It’s very… floral. Imagine matcha but with a hint of rose. Or matcha made with jasmine green tea… or maybe  It’s quite a strange taste at first, especially if you’re expecting the traditional matcha flavor. It’s not terrible, but it’s also not something I’d rush to order again.

That being said, don’t let this deter you from visiting Stringria. They have a wide range of bubble teas, and I’d highly recommend the Taro Bubble Tea. It’s a delightful treat that will make your visit worthwhile. Plus, the venue also has an excellent food court with many tasty options.

So, if you’re in the mood for a bubble tea adventure, head over to Gangnam Market and give Stringria a try. Just remember, the Iced Matcha Latte is for those who like a floral twist to their beloved tea.
