As a seasoned matcha-fanatic, I decided to give the Vanilla Matcha Latte at Ipsento 606 a whirl. I ordered it strong in a smaller cup, because let’s be honest, I don’t have time for weak matcha. And boy, am I glad I did. I can’t imagine how weak the flavor would be normally.
But enough about my high standards. Let’s talk flavor. It’s good-ish. Okay… it’s fine…ish. I made sure to tell the barista to go light on the vanilla sweetener. With just one pump of vanilla, it’s sweet enough. The vanilla also gives it a slight floral flavor which does a great job at masking the bitterness. I mean, let’s be real, the bitterness is probably due to the scalding water they used to make the matcha, but who am I to judge?
Overall, it’s fine. Good-ish. Not great. But, would I get it again? Absolutely-ish. After all, life is too short to not try all the matcha lattes. So go ahead and give it a try-ish.
