With the quality of their staff and baristas on the rise, Dollop has become a consistently good choice for matcha lovers looking for a quick pick-me-up.

But don’t let the lack of frills fool you – Dollop’s Matcha Latte is worth it. Made with good quality Kodemari matcha from Spirit Tea (no cheap Rishi matchas here!), this drink will leave you feeling both energized and satisfied.
I’ve been to good and bad shops across Chicago and Dollop has consistently been improving the quality of their drinks and even more so their baristas. I can’t same the same for others (Passion House and Intelligensia, for example, have gotten worse over the past few years). Dollop has improved. Sure, you might not always get a super friendly chat with the staff, but they’re never rude and they’re always paying attention. They’re just busy. And, let’s be honest, the most important thing is the drink itself.
So, if you’re in the mood for a delicious matcha latte and a great view of the Four Seasons mosaic by Marc Chagall, head on over to the Dollop on Monroe. No frills, all thrills.
